About The Prairie Sisters Community

The Prairie Sisters Community is a space for women in farming & ranching that is focused on creating connection, building relationships, and fostering resilience in spite of the isolation & distance between us.

We will connect over our shared experiences and struggles, while creating a sisterhood of support for one another and encouraging each other to support those in our own lives who may be struggling through difficult times and focusing on ways to support mental health.

This may include supporting each other through:

  • Succession planning - are you struggling to figure out where you fit in the operation, or how/what you can do to facilitate those tough conversations?

  • Isolation- is your nearest coffee shop hundreds of miles away? Are you living somewhere you never expected, and only have your kids and the horses to keep you company?

  • Instability - Are you part of a custom cutting crew or moving around to work on different operations? Or, are you picking up odd jobs to help make ends meet?

  • Burnout- Are you working side hustles or off-the-farm jobs just to be able to pay the bills?

  • Relationships- family/work/ etc- how to cope when you never get a break from your boss/employees/coworkers when working on a family operation

The Prairie Sisters Community is an online community that is limited to a small group of 5-10 women who are currently involved in production agriculture in one way or another.

Sessions will run 6-8 weeks to prevent burnout from the facilitator and those in the “community”.

Because we don’t want cost to be the reason you close the gate on this opportunity, we will keep the cost to $50 per month. This isn’t about building an “elite” group, but rather a support system for people who need it and are willing to do some hard self-work.

We commit to supporting each other while finding actual solutions or ideas to help ourselves and our loved ones facing mental health struggles. It’s not counseling- but rather, a sharing of experiences and a place to find support.

We are here to help you find joy and hope in your work and your life.
